Adrian´s apartment is finally done. He bought an older apartment, which he wanted to renovate and sell, so I helped him with the design part. His goal was to increase the value and as well to get a sosial and open apartment he could live in and later sell to earn some profit! This is the process we did together.
I designed a new layout, moving the kitchen and bedrooms to get a open solution for the living room. As you can see, we demolished one of the walls to open up the living room and I really wanted to manage a big open kitchen so his apartment could be in good use for social settings and as well, considering selling this apartment to a family later, it would also be a positive move.
2: SELLING YOUR IDEA TO THE CLIENT:
When I had the new layout ready, I made an animation on the 3D program to show Adrian. These animations help the clients often to visualize the project better than what the 2D drawings do.

3. ADRIAN ACCEPTED THE LAYOUT AND THE DEMOLISHING COULD START
By demolishing the wall we got space for a nice and open livingroom integrated with a kitchen. We put new wooden floor, painted all walls, renovated the bathroom and upgraded all electricity and lightning in the apartment
4: After around three months of renovating the apartment, it stood ready. Looks easy peasy to do, but I´m not mentioning all the challenges we had on this post, but I can promise you, all projects have some sneaky surprises 😀
In the end, it´s all worth the work
Livingroom & Kitchen
Adrian was very, veryy scared when I mentioned an almost black color for his hallway, but he said he trusted me and let me paint it anyway! In the end he loved it, and black actually does not make any ambients feel smaller. As white, black puts forward all colors around and it also went together with the black velour sofa and black kitchen bench.
That was it!
